These include seven foreign-invested projects worth $243 million and one domestic venture with an investment of $35 million. Singapore's Mapletree Investments Pte Ltd received the green light to implement the Mapletree Logistics Park Tam An 1 with an investment of $101.1 million. Meanwhile, Quest Composite Technology Co., Ltd. will invest $39.9 million in a plant to produce spare bike parts.
Mega Lifesciences, a Thai pharmaceutical firm, will spend $28 million to build a factory to produce cosmetics, functional foods, and medical equipment. Likewise, Japan's Atai Fuji Electric will pour $24 million into its coolant pump manufacturing factory.
Others include a $34.4 million food and agrifood processing factory by Golden Field Co., Ltd., a $10 million home electrical appliance by Leadership Electric Appliance Co., Ltd., a $5.5 million ready-built factory by Smart Leader No. 1, and a $35.2 million metal products factory by APF Dong Nai.
In addition, six projects will increase their investments by nearly $460 million. Among them, SMC Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd. under Japan's SMC Corporation will pour an additional $330 million into its automatic control devices factory, raising its investment to $1 billion in Dong Nai and becoming the largest Japan-invested project in the locality.
Matsui Takao, general director of SMC Manufacturing Vietnam, said, "In 2025, SMC Manufacturing will build and put into operation a large-scale warehouse to serve its ongoing manufacturing expansion and exports to the global market."
"We will increase the supply of products with high technical content such as valves, pressure regulators, and chillers. They are important components used in the semiconductor manufacturing equipment and production lines," Takao added.
In addition, South Korea's Hyosung will add another $19.7 million into its project in Dong Nai to raise its investment to $976.34 million. Meanwhile, Taiwan's Advanced Multitech Co., Ltd. will inject $12 million into its golf club manufacturing factory, bringing its investment to $73.5 million. Japan's Murata Manufacturing will also add $25 million into its electronic components manufacturing plant.
