Held on May 27, the summit brought together technology leaders, innovators, and policymakers to explore the country’s rapidly evolving innovation and digital infrastructure landscape.

Ming Chee Ding, ASEAN senior sales director at Dassault Systèmes, delivered a keynote titled “Empowering Vietnam’s Future with Virtual Twins”, outlining how virtual twin technology is enabling transformation across strategic sectors, from electric vehicles to semiconductors and smart manufacturing. He also joined a panel discussion on digital innovation and sustainable growth.

“Vietnam’s ambitious goals – 8 per cent GDP growth and $36 billion in projected spending for 2025 – are within reach, but a range of pressing challenges require solving,” said Ding. “These include scaling digital transformation, managing rapid construction safely, navigating global supply chain disruptions, and integrating sustainability across sectors.”

Dassault Systèmes is uniquely positioned to help address these challenges through its 3DEXPERIENCE platform, which enables simulation, optimisation, and collaboration at scale, reducing risk and improving efficiency. Globally, the platform is used across aerospace, life sciences, infrastructure, and energy. In Vietnam, Dassault Systèmes is applying this expertise to meet local development needs.

Dassault Systèmes is committed to supporting Vietnam’s strategic growth sectors, as follows:

  • Digital infrastructure and smart manufacturing: Real-time collaboration and lifecycle management improve productivity and resilience.
  • Electric vehicles: Virtual twins accelerate engineering and innovation in Vietnam’s fast-growing EV sector.
  • Semiconductors: Dassault’s global high-tech experience supports Vietnam in building foundational digital capability in this critical sector.
  • Defence and infrastructure: Digital simulation helps safely and efficiently design complex systems, aligned with the government’s modernisation goals.
  • Workforce development: Dassault supports training and education programmes to upskill Vietnam’s young, tech-savvy workforce and build a regional talent hub.

The company has also strengthened partnerships to fuel development in Vietnam. Since opening its Vietnam office in Hanoi in July 2022, Dassault Systèmes has actively built a network of strategic partnerships to fulfill its long-term commitment to the market.

These include its collaboration with Vingroup to drive digital transformation in electric mobility, its partnership with the National Innovation Centre to develop local tech talent, and its participation in key national events such as Vietnam Defence Expo 2024, Semiexpo 2024, and the French Tech Summit to support AI and digital infrastructure.

Together, these partnerships are central to Dassault Systèmes’ mission of enabling a sustainable, digital, and competitive Vietnam.
