The event will kick off at BUV Ecopark Campus. It will also welcome UK Ambassador Gareth Ward, singer My Linh, and Miss Vietnam 2006 Mai Phuong Thuy.

Following the success of the five previous events, the charity fun run this year is expected to see larger achievements in raising funds for local disadvantage people.

Over the past 19 years, the annual events have been held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with about 100,000 attendants. The total sum collected from the BritCham Vietnam's programme to date is VND10 billion ($434,780), including VND1.3 billion ($56,520) from last year's event.

Participants will compete in the 5km run or walk. The ticket for adults is VND150,000 ($6.50) and VND75,000 ($3.25) for children.

After the event, runners can stay afterwards to have a picnic with their friends and family while enjoying the scenery at Ecopark.

There are also numerous attractive prizes from the lucky draw for runners such as one Yamaha Free Go S 2020, one membership card at Venesa worth VND50 million ($2,170), one counselling package for study abroad and one English course provided by Clever Academy and one bicycle and accessories by Hanoi Bicycle Collective
