To sustain its punctuality rate, Bamboo Airways’ representative stated that the airline has maintained investment in both finance and human resources to constantly improve the management system, flight operations, flight technical assurance and service quality. Simultaneously, it will fortify the coordination between relevant units, from the flight operations centre to the ground service department, aiming to effectively communicate and inform passengers of unavoidable flight delays or cancellations.
The airline has also rolled out many specific solutions to completely eliminate flight delays and cancellations resulting from human reasons to ensure service quality and meet passengers’ demands. Bamboo Airways was the most on-time airline for three consecutive years up to the first four months of 2021.
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Bamboo Airways strictly follows the 5K recommendations of the Ministry of Health, including obliging passengers and staff to wear facemasks, disinfection, social distancing, no gatherings, and health declaration. The airline has implemented plans to ensure safe social distancing among passengers on check-in counters, waiting rooms, boarding gates, and airplane seats.
In addition, Bamboo Airways strictly complies with disease prevention measures before, during, and after flights, including temperature screenings at the airport, providing hand sanitisers and masks at check-in areas, departure gates, and on planes, spraying disinfection after flights, as well as regularly maintaining HEPA filters on modern aircrafts such as A320, A321neo, Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
All measures are guided by the National Steering Committee for the Prevention of COVID-19, the Ministry of Health, the Steering Committee of the Ministry of Transport, and the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam. As of now, Bamboo Airways’ COVID-19 prevention process is considered the most comprehensive and effective, achieving an absolute level of 7/7.
To secure passengers’ rights in the context of the complicated pandemic, the flexible refund and cancellation policy of Bamboo Airways will be applied for eligible passengers on all domestic routes.
Moreover, to save time and avoid airport congestions, Bamboo Airways also recommends that passengers complete a medical declaration before entering the screening point to board the plane and use various self-check-in methods such as online check-in via website, self-service kiosks, or FLC check-in counters.
