The event was attended by Le Van Thanh and Le Tri Truong, the chairman and general secretary of the Volleyball Federation of Vietnam (VFV), along with other VFV leaders.
From the side of Bamboo Airways, attendants included Trinh Van Quyet, chairman of FLC Group and Bamboo Airways, Dang Tat Thang, deputy general director of FLC Group cum CEO of Bamboo Airways, as well as leaders of divisions and departments.
According to the agreement, Bamboo Airways will accompany the Bamboo Airways National Volleyball Championship 2021 with a valuable cash sponsorship package and a 5-star oriented airline service sponsorship package with preferential policies for the coaching staff and athletes of all teams participating in the tournament, on all domestic routes operated by the airline.
At the same time, Bamboo Airways also awarded First Bamboo Club membership card to all head coaches, as well as Diamond Bamboo Club membership cards to the coaching staff and athletes. Tracing the history of Vietnamese volleyball, the teams have shown great success after receiving proper investment. The CEO of Bamboo Airways believed that with the fierce participation of the General Department of Gymnastics and Sports as well as Bamboo Airways' cooperation would take Vietnamese volleyball to the top and enhance its position in the international arena.
Thang also expressed his hope that this sponsorship agreement will open up further cooperation opportunities between the VFV and Bamboo Airways, as well as FLC Group, thereby, maximising the potentials and strengths of each party in developing sports and physical training initiatives, especially high-achievement sports, and contributing to the sustainable development of national sports.
In the Bamboo Airways National Volleyball Championship 2021, there are 20 teams (10 men's teams, 10 women's team) competing in three rounds. The first round takes place from April 10-15, 2021 with a total of 40 matches. The teams will be divided into two groups. Matches will take place in Quang Ninh and Hanoi. The second and last round will include 56 matches on December 14-25, 2021 in Quang Nam and Dak Nong.
The matches of Bamboo Airways National Volleyball Tournament 2021 will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television, TV Sports Channel, and online platforms.
The main sponsorship for the Bamboo Airways National Volleyball Championship 2021 is an important activity in Bamboo Airways and FLC Group' strategy of accompanying, supporting, and developing the domestic sports scene.
Previously, Bamboo Airways signed a memorandum with Vinh Phuc Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to cooperate on training the province's women’s volleyball team.
