BAC A BANK launches Kiosk Banking in Hanoi

From July 21, BAC A BANK officially operates its new service Kiosk Banking, which is also the lender’s first automatic transaction model in Hanoi.

The service will allow customers to take the initiative in manipulating and experiencing assorted services of BAC A BANK without having to physically implement transactions at the bank’s transactions spots.

With a strategic vision to become a modern and versatile bank, BAC A BANK is in the process of building a digital bank model branded as BAC A BANK Alpha Bank with the meaning of Pioneering and Outstanding. The Banking Kiosk project marks an important development in the digital transformation of BAC A BANK, allowing customers to actively manipulate and easily access and use banking services through STMs aka Smart Teller Machines.

STMs have a simple and user-friendly interface and are integrated with electronic customer identification technologies such as OCR and authentication through biometrics such as finger veins and facial image recognition.

Kiosk Banking is capable of providing most of the essential banking services free of charge such as opening a payment account, registering for e-banking services, and issuing domestic debit cards.

With the application of high technology, the transaction flows at Kiosk Banking help increase utilities and maximum processing speed and provide customers with a convenient experience.

From July 21 to the end of August 21, the first 100 customers who successfully open a payment account at Kiosk Banking, and meet the conditions of the programme will receive VND200,000 ($8.7) into their account. At the same time, all customers who experience Kiosk Banking for the first time will enjoy an attractive card and e-banking service fee combo.

According to Dang Nguyen Anh Khoa, head of the Digital Banking Division of BAC A BANK, Kiosk Banking plays a very important role in replacing 70-90 per cent of over-the-counter operations through digitalisation.
