The conference is being held in Ho Chi Minh City on April 26 and 27 with hotel industry professionals from Marriott International, Accor, and The Ascott Limited, among others, in attendance.

In her opening remarks, Gloria Wong, executive director of the Hospitality Asia event series, said, "Vietnam's tourism industry is not immune to global trends and is experiencing similar effects to those in other markets."
David Jackson, CEO of Colliers Vietnam, noted, "The global hospitality market has shown signs of improvement, but international travel has not yet returned to pre-COVID levels. In Asia-Pacific, our growth rate is 63 per cent, but we are 37 per cent behind 2019."
The National Administration of Tourism reports that the number of international tourists has increased by almost 30 per cent, and domestic visitors continue to soar, reaching 27.7 million in the first quarter of 2023. "As a result, the industry is evolving and adapting to meet the demands of an ever-changing market," Wong said.
According to the Vietnam Association of Realtors, more than 19,000 new tourism and resort real estate ventures were developed in Vietnam last year. About 42 per cent of the market's total supply originated from the Central region, which supplied nearly 8,000 products.
In addition to popular areas like Nha Trang, Danang, and Phu Quoc, international and regional operators are paying close attention to emerging regions such as Ho Tram, Quy Nhon, and Phu Yen.
The properties are all luxury status developed by renowned investors in response to the substantial growth of the Vietnam's upper class and the shift in consumer behaviour towards physical and mental well-being.
