Winners of Swing for the Kids 2020 charity golf tournament

The Organising Board presenting the representatives of the Vietnam Study Promotion Fund VND300 million ($13,000) and announced to reserve VND1 billion ($43,500) from this year’s fund to students in the central region

Overcoming the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 epidemic, many sponsors and golfers continued to accompany and support the charity golf tournament for children in Vietnam. This year, the tournament attracted 155 golfers. Having become a prestigious convergence for golf enthusiasts, the tournament is not only appreciated by the public for its humane focus, but is regarded as a premier golfing event for investors, domestic and international businesspeople, diplomats, and representatives of international organisations to meet and share ideas about life and work.

Vo Hong Phuc, former Minister of Planning and Investment and the honorary president of the charity golf tournament said that thanks to the support through technology and the golf course from BRG, the tournament has been growing more professional with each year.

He emphasised the meaning of the charity golf tournament that attracted the participation and companionship of many businesses from year to year.

The Organising Board awarded CSR certification to open-hearrted sponsors

At the awards Gala on November 21, representatives of the Organising Board presented the representatives of the Vietnam Study Promotion Fund VND300 million as funding for the Study Promotion Scholarship Program.

The Organising Board also decided to reserve VND1 billion from this year’s fund to students in the central region, including Thua Thien-Hue and Quang Binh which have been devastated by storms of unprecedented magnitude sweeping through the central region.

Since Swing for the Kids was created, the organising board has mobilised more than VND17.5 billion ($760,870) to provide 16,000 scholarships for disadvantaged students, build IT classrooms with new computers, and upgrade numerous schools in over 40 cities and provinces across the country.

At the gala, the golfers took part in a lucky draw, with prizes including vouchers to stay at Alma Resort in Cam Ranh.
