Nam Dinh People's Committee has just approved the investment policy and the investor for the project to build and operate the infrastructure of Hai Long Industrial Park (VSIP Nam Dinh) phase 1.
The investor is Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park and Township Development JSC (VSIP JSC), a subsidiary of the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park Joint Venture Co., Ltd. (VSIP).
The IP covers an area of 180 hectares in Giao Thuy district, with a total estimated capital of $88.2 million. Among them, the investor's capital contribution is more than $13.2 million. Construction is slated to begin in the third or fourth quarter of this year and be completed by the end of 2027.
Nam Dinh People's Committee has approved the master plan for the construction of Hai Long IP, Giao Thuy district, until 2050 with a total area of nearly 1,070ha and spans across four communes of Bach Long, Giao Long, Giao Chau, and Giao Nhan.
The venture is divided into many phases, in which the first phase will cover 180ha, focusing on attracting pioneering investors, developing infrastructure, and creating the premise for the next phases.
Built on a modern and synchronous model, Hai Long IP is expected to woo major domestic and foreign enterprises, especially enterprises in the high-tech sector. When put into operation, Hai Long IP will create about 18,000 jobs for workers, making a positive contribution to the local economic growth.
Nam Dinh People's Committee requested the VSIP JSC to ensure the implementation of legal commitments on project documents, use capital for the right purposes, and comply with regulations on investment, land, environment, and real estate.
VSIP JSC will have to make a deposit to guarantee the project implementation and ensure infrastructure investment according to the planning and on schedule. At the same time, the company must closely coordinate with localities in site clearance and fully perform financial obligations.
