As planned, in the first phase, Vietnam Airlines will operate the Ho Chi Minh City - Bali route with a frequency of four round trips per week, on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. From July, the frequency will be increased to seven flights a week to meet increasing market demand.

The launch of the direct flight not only helps Vietnam Airlines expand its flight network in the region, but also contributes to effectively exploiting the potential of the passenger market between Vietnam and Indonesia.

In addition to serving Vietnamese tourists to Bali, the Ho Chi Minh City - Bali route also plays a strategic role in its international flight network. With convenient operating hours, this route connects easily with flights from Europe, Northeast Asia, India and the US, and others, contributing to expanding connectivity, diversifying international passenger travel itineraries and improving the efficiency of the airline’s inter-regional flight network.

The opening event took place on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Indonesia. This is not only a step forward in aviation and tourism but also has important diplomatic significance in the context of the two countries strongly strengthening trade, investment and cultural exchange cooperation.
