On the first day of the Lunar New Year, major airports such as Tan Son Nhat, Noi Bai, Danang, Cam Ranh, and Phu Quoc were bustling with thousands of passengers embarking on the first flights of the new year.

In Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Nguyen Thanh Ha, deputy chairwoman Vietjet's board of directors; Nguyen Anh Tuan, deputy chairman of the BOD; and Michael Hickey, deputy CEO, were present at Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat airports. They joined the flight crews in welcoming passengers with bright smiles, New Year greetings, and lucky gifts for those boarding the first flights of the Year of the Snake.

Meanwhile, at Van Don Airport, Quang Ninh, the first passengers were also welcomed onto a Vietjet flight, promising a good new year for the aviation and tourism industry.

In celebration of the new spring, Vietjet passengers on both domestic and international flights had the chance to enjoy traditional Tet dishes such as sticky rice cake, red sticky rice, and braised pork with eggs, all served in a warm, festive atmosphere and specially prepared by Vietjet's cabin crew.

In 2024, Vietnam’s aviation and tourism sectors recorded remarkable achievements. According to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, Vietnam welcomed around 17.5 million foreign tourists and catered to 110 million domestic travellers. Vietjet made a significant contribution to this achievement by launching seven new domestic routes and 14 new international flights, as well as transporting 25 million passengers over the year. Vietnam has become a favourite destination among travellers from countries such as Australia, India, Japan, and South Korea.

On the first day of the Lunar New Year, Vietjet flights were filled with a lively, hopeful spirit, welcoming passengers embarking on their journeys with wishes for a peaceful and prosperous year ahead. From sparkling eyes full of hope to warm family reunions and the happiness on the faces of each passenger, all created a joyful atmosphere on the first day of the year.
