Taking place in Cuc Phuong National Park in the northern province of Ninh Binh, this activity is part of the Mizuiku – I Love Clean Water initiative, with the aim of raising awareness among future generations about water protection through schools and forest expeditions. It is also enhancing access to clean water for pupils and teachers through various schemes.

The trips are designed as classrooms in the forest to teach children about their important role, the close relationship between forests and water sources, and forest protection issues, which will contribute to land preservation and the protection of groundwater sources while fostering environmentally friendly living habits.
A similar offering will be organised at Cat Tien National Park in the southern province of Dong Nai on December 13-14, with over 100 teachers managing 400 elementary students.
The extracurricular activities help to promote sustainably by establishing environmental information corners in national parks, installing waste management systems, and organising training sessions for employees and volunteers, emphasising the vital role of forest protection and clean water sources.
The Mizuiku programme is an educational initiative to raise awareness of water saving and protection among elementary students, initiated by Suntory Group in Japan in 2004. Vietnam was the first country in which Suntory chose to expand this project in 2015. After nearly nine years of activities in various provinces and cities nationwide, millions of students, teachers and residents have benefited from the scheme.
