Sao Do Group joins efforts to overcome consequences of Typhoon Yagi

The city's Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park (IP) experienced tense moments during the historic storm, but businesses there have resumed operations with guaranteed food and accommodations for workers.

To help investors overcome the impacts of the storm, Sao Do Group, the investor of Nam Dinh Vu IP, has conducted an assessment of the damage and formulated a support plan so that businesses can quickly resume operations.

So far, nearly 40 businesses in Nam Dinh Vu IP have received support under the plan, including service fee breaks and cash injections.

This includes VND10 billion ($416,600) in cash, and $291,600 is in service fees.

According to Nguyen Thanh Phuong, general director of Sao Do Group, the group will continue to accompany and support businesses during this time so they can resume operations and ensure a smooth supply chain in the IP.

On September 18, at a meeting with local businesses based in IPs and economic zones to discuss solutions to overcome the consequences of Typhoon Yagi, Sao Do Group made recommendations to Haiphong Economic Zone to restore electricity, water, and communication infrastructure.

No end to the journey

Continuing on the journey to help individuals and businesses overcome the consequences of Typhoon Yagi, Sao Do Group has expedited the construction of three houses in Hai An and Duong Kinh districts.

Sao Do Group and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai An district kicked off a groundbreaking ceremony for a new house for Nguyen Thi Hau.

Hau is often sick, unable to work, and lives alone, so she mainly depends on state support. Typhoon Yagi damaged her home, so Hay is currently living with relatives.

The new house is being built on the foundations of her former home, with an estimated cost of $13,800, of which Sao Do Group has donated $8,400.

Sao Do Group has also joined efforts with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tien Lang district to build homes for the families of Cao Thi Cam in Tien Minh commune and Vu Thi Lan in Cap Tien commune.

The two houses cover an area of ​​35-40 square metres, with an estimated cost of $7,300 each, of which, Sao Do Group has donated $4,200.

From 2022-2023, Sao Do Group supported Haiphong to effectively implement sustainable poverty reduction programmes.

Housing projects for the poor have garnered appreciation from local authorities and deep gratitude from the recipients.

Sao Do Group has contributed to the construction of 20 houses worth nearly $167,000, bringing joy and new motivation to families living in difficult circumstances.

Intending to create a truly domestic multi-industry and sustainable economic group, Sao Do has asserted its position in the market as an enterprise that actively contributes to the community and society's development.

“This journey of spreading love will never end with Sao Do Group,” Phuong said.
