With an investment capital amount of $45 million, the project, comprising ready-built factories and offices for rent, will be developed in line with green standards.

The project from Singaporean integrated property firm Soilbuild Group Holdings is expected to increase cooperation between the province and the city-state.

Today, Nghe An is home to seven Singapore-invested projects with the total committed investment capital of $486.4 million. Singaporean investors have been making moves in garments and textiles, electronic component manufacturing, and telecommunications equipment. These projects have created jobs for more than 10,000 local employees.

In 2022, the export turnover from Nghe An to Singapore reached $29.03 million, a figure that stands at $29.95 million in the first six months of 2023. Meanwhile, the import turnover reached $56.7 million in 2022. In the first six months of 2023, this figure reached $58.78 million.

Bui Dinh Long, Deputy Chairman of Nghe An People's Committee, expects the Vietnamese Embassy to Singapore to continue to pay attention and promote cooperation between the two. The cooperation should not only focus on investment attraction but also on other fields such as trade, education, training, and tourism, Long said.
