Nestlé gives out nearly 6,000 gifts for Lunar New Year

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, Nestlé Vietnam has teamed up with several agencies and organisations to grant thousands of practical gifts to disadvantaged families and individuals in localities throughout Vietnam.

Nestlé has coordinated with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour's Golden Heart Charity Fund, Dong Nai Labour Federation, and My Hao Town Red Cross in Hung Yen, along with several other organisations to donate the nearly 6,000 products to union members, workers, women, and children across the country. The gifts include Milo barley milk, Maggi soy sauce, Nescafé coffee, and Nestea iced tea.

Nguyen Thi Nhu Y, chairwoman of Dong Nai Labour Federation, said, "We want to express our thanks and recognition for the contribution of Nestlé Vietnam in helping our trade union to take care of disadvantaged workers. The company’s support will enable workers to celebrate the warm and joyful Lunar New Year."

As the world's largest food and beverage company, Nestlé is conscious of its corporate social responsibility in its production and business activities. Every year, the company coordinates with charities, engages in community activities, and grants many gifts of nutritional products to poor households in many provinces and cities nationwide.

Since 1995, Nestlé Vietnam has been helping partners to deliver the most effective support for the community and to improve the quality of life for Vietnamese people. Nestlé Vietnam has been awarded the title 'Typical Enterprise for Labour' four times since 2019. The award is part of a scheme that is chaired by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs, and the Vietnam Confederation of Commerce and Industry.

In addition, the company has been listed as among the top 10 most sustainable businesses in Vietnam's manufacturing sector for three years running in recognition of its in environmental, social, and governance achievements.

Ahead of the Lunar New Year, Nestlé Vietnam has kicked off the campaign Cau Du La Duoc (Wishing for just enough is fine) to encourage people to share their new year wishes with each other and together make efforts to turn them into reality. The event is taking place on January 5, with thousands of valuable gifts for consumers.
