Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung and Nguyen Hoa Binh, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court at the signing ceremony of the cooperation programme on digital transformation |
Under the cooperation programme, the MIC and the Supreme People's Court will collaborate in building a legal foundation for the deployment of litigation activities in the digital environment while completing regulations in line with Industry 4.0 and dealing with the possible challenges facing the justice system in the new development era.
The other goal is building and completing the scheme and master plan on digital transformation and development of an e-court and digital infrastructure for provincial people’s courts.
They will also cooperate in the standardisation and training of human resources for digital transformation among courts and operation of e-courts while boosting connections with the national database.
Digital transformation is a growing reality in several industries in Vietnam. According to the MIC, Vietnam is one of the first countries in the world to issue a programme or strategy on national digital transformation, putting the country on par with more advanced counterparts in the world.
One of the goals of the government's national digital transformational programme is to make the digital economy account for 30 per cent of the country’s GDP by 2030. Additionally, Vietnam will be among the world’s top 50 countries in terms of e- government and labour productivity, increasing by 8 per cent annually at the same time.
