The handover included two plots of 10.6 hectares and 12.6ha, bringing KCN Vietnam's presence to 23.2ha within the industrial zone. The construction is expected to commence in April 2022 to ensure the availability of 71,000 square metres of ready-built factories and 81,000sq.m of ready-built warehouses by December 2022.

KCN Vietnam has committed to delivering high-quality and well-designed products as well as design and construction standards to fulfill the rising demand in terms of quality and operation standards. KCN Vietnam, focusing on sustainable development, intends to invest in solar panels on the roof system to supply clean energy to its tenants.

Chief operating officer of KCN Vietnam Tran Huynh evaluated DEEP C Haiphong II as one of Vietnam's major coastal industrial zones with outstanding investment incentives.

DEEP C Haiphong II has been a bright spot to lure domestic and foreign investors. In addition, Haiphong has shown the constant appeal to industrial real estate investors thanks to its synchronous infrastructure system, connectivity routes, favourable geographical location, and immense support from the government. Seizing the development potentials, KCN Vietnam has spotted Haiphong as a key investment destination of its business strategy.

General director of DEEP C Industrial Zones Bruno Jaspaert said, “New invesment is flowing towards Haiphong due to the high concentration of ready-built factory and warehouse developers in DEEP C Industrial Zones. This proves the increase in investment demand as well as market potential.”

Sharing more about the strategic cooperation with DEEP C, Huynh said that DEEP C has taken pioneering steps towards the goal of developing an eco-industrial park, in line with Vietnam's development plans. It hopes to leverage synergies with other developers and DEEP C to move Vietnam towards sustainable industrial development.

Regarding the cooperation with DEEP C Industrial Zones, Huynh recognised, "DEEP C has made great strides towards its eco-industrial park goal, which aligns with our vision of being a sustainable developer. KCN Vietnam believes in our synergy to move Vietnam towards a more sustainable industrial future."

KCN Vietnam was established to meet the increasing demand for premium industrial properties for rental, aim to provide professionally designed, built, and managed developments for the industrial and logistics sectors, enabling businesses to leverage Vietnam’s growth in a sustainable manner.

The prominent industrial real estate developer initially acquired approximately 250ha of land, with an investment of over $300 million. In the coming years, KCN Vietnam intends to expand its portfolio to become one of the leading local industrial real estate platforms. The long-term vision is to be the local champion for customers and the right arm for Vietnam’s global expansion as a sustainable industrial hub.

DEEP C Industrial Zones is developed by Belgian investors (Rent-A-Port, Ackermans-Van Haaren) in Haiphong city and Quang Ninh province. Dinh Vu Industrial Zones, the first project of DEEP C in Haiphong, was founded in 1997 under the collaboration with Haiphong People’s Committee.

Over the last 24 years, DEEP C has established itself as one of the biggest industrial zone developer groups in Vietnam. DEEP C consists of five subprojects with over 3,386ha of industrial land in the industrial area upstream of Lach Huyen Port. DEEP C has on offer a variety of options for investment consideration, including: industrial land for lease, ready-built-factory, logistics warehouse, and built-to-suit solutions, offices for lease. Recently, DEEP C group has taken big steps to become an eco-industrial park, among these steps are new ventures into renewable energy production.

DEEP C is now home to 142 projects, equivalent to 120 companies with the total investment of $4 billion.
