Humanitarian Power 2023 has been organised annually by the Central Vietnam Red Cross Society since 2008, and will be held at the Temple of Literature and broadcast live on Vietnam Television at 8pm.

The event aims to mobilise resources to care for the poor during Lunar New Year and into the spring.
Additionally, it will honour groups and individuals that have made significant contributions to humanitarian work, spreading noble gestures and kind actions throughout the community.
This occasion will also commemorate the 77th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Red Cross Society.

On the occasion, the Central Vietnam Red Cross Society will launch the Nutrition for Poor and Disabled Children and Safety for Poor Fishermen initiatives.
The event will call on groups, individuals, businesses, and philanthropists to accompany the Vietnam Red Cross in organising Tet of Kindness activities to care for vulnerable people.
The agenda will feature a report on the activities of the gift-giving scheme to care for people in special circumstances and those affected by epidemics and natural disasters. It will also launch and draw support for its Tet of Kindness offering.
The Tet of Kindness movement is inherited from the Tet for the poor and victims of Agent Orange drive, which was launched by the Vietnam Red Cross in 1999.
It attracts strong engagement and contributions from the community to provide material and spiritual support so the poor, those in difficult circumstances, and vulnerable groups, contributing to building a more united and compassionate community.
