The International Exhibition on Construction, Mining, and Transportation (Contech Vietnam), and the International Exhibition on Electrical Energy and Lighting (EL Vietnam) held their joint opening ceremony at the National Exhibition Construction Centre in Hanoi’s Nam Tu Liem district on April 22. The dual events will run until April 25.

According to Le Thi Lan Anh, general director of Hanoi Advertising and International Fair JSC, the event organiser, this year’s exhibitions bring together leading brands from across the construction, mining, transportation, electrical energy, and lighting sectors, representing countries such as Japan, South Korea, China, Germany, Austria, the United States, Singapore, and Vietnam. A wide array of advanced, eco-friendly machinery and equipment is being showcased, from excavators, bulldozers, and hydraulic mixers to electric steel, telecom towers, and solar panel frames.

"The exhibition serves as a product showcase and as a hub for business networking, technology transfer, and specialised seminars. It attracts a diverse range of participants, including domestic and international enterprises, contractors, investors, regulatory bodies, and industry engineers," said Lan Anh.

Speaking at the event, Unter Burger, a representative from the Organising Board, spoke of how this year’s edition has been scaled up in both size and expertise, as Vietnam advances its digital transformation, infrastructure, and policies for green growth and sustainable energy. "Events such as these act as vital bridges between businesses and consumers and science and the practicalities of project implementation," he said.

Tong Van Nga, chairman of the Vietnam Association for Building Materials, said, "Contech Vietnam and EL Vietnam provide valuable opportunities for investors, businesses, organisations, and individuals to access cutting-edge, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly technological solutions and equipment."

Spanning over 5,000 square metres of indoor and outdoor exhibition space, the events feature hundreds of top-tier brands from around the world. These exhibitors present a diverse selection of advanced equipment, technologies, and materials tailored for the construction, transportation, mining, energy, and lighting industries. Among the key participants are renowned names such as Zoomlion Vietnam Co., Ltd., XCMG Group, and PV Power, representing global technological prowess and modern development trends.

A standout feature of this year’s event lies in the outdoor exhibition area, where major construction machinery companies such as XCMG and Zoomlion are showcasing state-of-the-art autonomous machinery, remotely operated equipment, and AI-integrated systems. Meanwhile, PV Power introduces strategic energy solutions that contribute to Vietnam’s national energy transition.

Contech Vietnam 2025 and EL Vietnam 2025 are also hosts to a series of in-depth forums and practical seminars addressing key issues for major projects, such as the Lang Son–Cao Bang expressway, Hong Ha Bridge, the North-South high-speed railway, Long Thanh International Airport, and others. The exhibitions create invaluable opportunities for engineers, investors, contractors, and experts from Vietnam and abroad to meet, exchange ideas, seek partnerships, and foster growth.

Positioned as a convergence point for advanced technologies, equipment, and solutions in the construction sector, Contech Vietnam also serves as a specialised forum closely aligned with Vietnam’s large-scale infrastructure projects. Seminars such as 'Quality Control in Construction Projects' and 'Geotechnical Solutions for Underground Transportation and High-Speed Railways' reflect the needs of those involved in the current developments, including the Tu Lien and Hong Ha bridges and the North-South high-speed railway.

Additionally, the showcased equipment, including cranes, safety monitoring systems, and eco-friendly building materials, has already been deployed in key projects such as Hong Ha Bridge, urban railways, and expressways in Vietnam’s northern mountainous regions.
