These four areas are heavily affected by the Nam Son waste complex – the largest such facility in the country. With this programme, Diageo Vietnam aims to work with local authorities to improve the quality of water, thereby positively impacting the lives of local people.

In 2022, the company also donated 49 water purifiers to underprivileged people in Ba Vi, creating opportunities for them to access better quality drinking water.

Le Thi Hai, vice president of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Soc Son district shared, “We sincerely thank DVL and its partners for their timely and practical actions to support affected households. Having access to clean water will improve people’s health and allow them to take better care of their families.”

Huynh Thi Thanh Truc, director of corporate relations at Diageo Vietnam said, “Water preservation and environmental protection are the top priorities at Diageo, and are essential to our long-term business operations. We hope these water purifying systems will help bring clean water to households. This project also represents part of Diageo's commitment to continuously contribute to improving the quality of life in Vietnam.”

Since 2012, Diageo has implemented the Water for Life programme globally as a corporate commitment in its social responsibility goals and sustainability vision to 2030.

A series of clean water supply systems, including new clean water wells, pumps, and concrete tanks, have been donated to households and primary schools in remote areas in Vietnam. In addition to donating water purification systems, DVL has also coordinated with local authorities and partners to raise awareness about sanitation and environment protection.
