Citi Vietnam holds annual blood drive

To support Vietnam’s National Blood Donation Month this June, Citi Vietnam held events in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on June 20.

For Citi Vietnam, the annual blood donation campaign is part of a long-standing commitment to give back to the community.

Such efforts highlight the vital role of blood transfusions in saving lives and assisting patient recovery, a cause that Citi Vietnam has championed through its annual campaign.

This initiative also aligns with Vietnam’s national goals for healthcare. The government aims to collect 1.85 million units of blood in 2025, with 99 per cent coming from voluntary donors.

By encouraging more people to donate, especially during National Blood Donation Month, Citi Vietnam’s campaign supports the country’s determination to ensure a stable blood supply for hospitals and patients nationwide.

The events took place in cooperation with Vietnam’s leading blood transfusion centre to ensure a safe and convenient donation process for all participants.

“The blood donation campaign, part of Citi Vietnam’s Global Community Day, exemplifies our bank’s strong culture of service,” Do Xuan Hanh, Citi Vietnam’s public affairs head, noted, “This campaign is a proud tradition at Citi Vietnam, reflecting our core values and our commitment to supporting the communities where we live and work.”

As Vietnam’s National Blood Donation Month continues through June, Citi Vietnam stands alongside other organisations and volunteers in championing the cause of voluntary blood donations that save lives.

In addition to blood donation, the bank has engaged in various community outreach programmes throughout June, from planting trees to building playgrounds for children.
