Since his appointment in Vietnam in January 2022, RamC has closed major deals with key clients, diversified the franchise, and managed the divestiture of the consumer business in Vietnam. RamC has significantly raised Citi Vietnam’s profile.
Thuy Lai, head of treasury and trade services for Citi Vietnam, will serve as the interim Ho Chi Minh City branch director.
She brings close to 30 years of experience in leadership roles across functions in Vietnam. Hai Pham will continue in his role as the Vietnam corporate banking head and Hanoi branch director. The process for identifying a new leader will commence soon.
Citi first set its footprint in Vietnam in 1975 and started a representative office in Hanoi in 1993.
A year later, Citi became the first US financial institution licensed for branch opening and full branch establishment in Hanoi.
Vietnam is a priority market for Citi, and as the pre-eminent global bank, Citi helps Vietnamese corporates go global, foreign multinationals expand in the country, and new companies grow rapidly.
