Dang Tat Thang, general director of Bamboo Airways made the confirmation recently.
After one year in operation, the airline is estimated to have made a pre-tax profit of VND303 billion ($13.17 million) in 2019 and expects to increase the figure to nearly VND1.03 trillion ($44.78 million) this year.
Earlier in December 2019, Thang said that Bamboo Airways planned to launch its Initial Public Offering (IPO) with a starting price of VND60,000 ($2.61). It expects its capitalisation to hit $1 billion after listing.
The airline is considering selecting strategic investors having strong financial capacity and experience, especially those from the US, Japan, and the EU.
Ending 2019, Bamboo Airways conducted nearly 20,000 safe flights with around three million passengers.
It aims to increase its share in the domestic market to 30 per cent in 2020, expand its flight network to 85 routes, including 60 domestic and 25 international ones, and to increase air fleet to 100 aircraft from the current 25, including 12 Boeing Dreamliner 787-9.
