Initially launched in June 2023, the GenAIIC connects customers with AWS AI/ML scientists and strategy experts, helping them envision, identify, and develop tailored GenAI solutions. Since its launch, the GenAIIC has assisted thousands of customers, including prominent companies such as DoorDash, Nasdaq, and the PGA TOUR, in achieving success with GenAI. Notably, over 50 per cent of proof-of-concept solutions created through GenAIIC are now live in production for these clients.

Through the Generative AI Partner Innovation Alliance, AWS customers will gain access to a network of systems integrators and consulting firms with proven expertise in GenAI and familiarity with GenAIIC’s methodology. The alliance will initially launch with nine partners, including Booz Allen Hamilton, Crayon, Escala24x7, Megazone Cloud, NCS Group, Quantiphi, and Rackspace, each contributing industry-specific and regional expertise.

“At the GenAIIC, we focus on empowering customers to identify and refine AI use cases that deliver tangible business value. We develop end-to-end solutions and customise foundation models to address unique needs, always prioritising security and scalability,” said Sri Elaprolu, global head of the AWS Generative AI Innovation Centre. “With our growing network of partners, we can help more customers leverage GenAI to drive innovation, boost productivity, and enhance competitive advantage.”

Julia Chen, vice president of Partner Core at AWS, highlighted the transformative potential of GenAI for businesses, stating, “GenAI is revolutionising how businesses operate and deliver value. By combining our partners’ deep industry and services expertise with AWS’s GenAI tools and proven methodology, we can help accelerate the transformative power of this technology for customers globally.”

The alliance allows businesses across sectors to utilise GenAI to enhance service delivery and achieve their mission objectives. Alison Smith, director of Generative AI at Booz Allen Hamilton, noted, “By merging Booz Allen’s public sector expertise with AWS’s GenAI resources, we can drive impactful, secure, ethical, and compliant GenAI solutions.”

Similarly, Florian Rosenberg, chief technology officer at Crayon, emphasised the importance of trust and compliance, especially in regulated industries. “With the Partner Innovation Alliance, we’ll work closely with AWS to implement rigorous security, risk management, and governance frameworks that enable our customers in Europe to confidently harness generative AI.”

Elbano Milbelli P., principal cloud specialist at Escala 24x7, shared the company’s enthusiasm for joining the alliance, stating, “Escala 24x7 is excited to bring GenAI to Latin America and the Caribbean, helping organisations leverage AWS services and GenAIIC’s approach to create language models tailored to regional cultures and business needs.”

Sam Liew, chief executive of the Government Strategic Business Group at NCS Group, emphasised the alliance’s potential in the Asia-Pacific region. “Through our NCS GenAI CoE for Public Good, we’ll work with AWS to support public sector organisations in their GenAI journey, developing solutions attuned to local languages, cultures, and business environments.”
