The series of events gathered major global brands working on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) and clean rooms, as well as industries related to high-tech industrial production and construction.
According to Dr. Ta Quang Ngoc, president of the Association of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Science and Technology, Vietnam's refrigeration and air conditioning equipment market is the largest among ASEAN countries, with total sales of several billion dollars.
The development of Industry 4.0 will bring about smart cities, industry, commerce, and services, all of which rely on refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
However, this also leads to increased electricity consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
According to the International Energy Agency, in 2016 the refrigeration and air conditioning sector consumed about 16 per cent of the world's commercial electricity, and by 2030 this figure will have reached 30 per cent. In addition, the refrigerants present in the equipment have the potential to be thousands of times more damaging than CO2.
"To successfully implement the government's net-zero roadmap by 2050, alternative technologies are needed, but the cost and technical requirements are high. Therefore, finding solutions to remove these barriers is essential," said Ngoc.
The events featured two exhibition programmes and gathered major global brands including Daikin, LG, Eurovent, Robatherm, Shuangliang, Casper, ThermoFisher, Bosch Rexroth, Schneider, VSIP, DeepC, and Greenpan.
The Cleanfact 2023 exhibition focussed on equipment, materials, and tools for clean rooms, and testing equipment, tools, and materials relating to construction, as well as accessory solutions.
Resat Expo 2023 gathered brands and connected businesses that focus on commercial, residential, and industrial air conditioning, humidity treatment, ventilation and air filtration, cold supply chain, refrigeration supplies, and manufacturing components.
It was the largest event ever for organisations, individuals, associations, consulting units, and investors that are interested in heating and refrigeration and want to learn, build connections, and promote products and solutions.
There was also an emphasis on investment trends and foreign investment shifts in each region of the country, presenting solutions for businesses during industrial investment venture implementation.
