The ceremony to award the scholarships took place at the AIG Building in Ho Chi Minh City on September 30, marking the group's first scholarship offering that is now expected to be held annually to motivate disadvantaged students and enhance their studies.
Le Nguyen Doan Duy, business development director of AIG, said that the group has held the guiding principle of Help yourself, Help others, Help life since its inception, prioritising resources for community activities that aim to build a sustainable future of mutual development.
"The Asian Kite Scholarship is AIG Group's hope for the future of the younger generation. We expect to encourage students to nurture their dreams and continue their efforts to achieve greater academic excellence, thereby inspiring a love of learning among the next generations of AIG’s labour force in particular and the community in general," Duy said.
The scholarship fund includes two elements. The Dreaming Kite aspect has the goal of supporting individuals with special circumstances who are striving to excel in life. It encompasses financial support and carries a message of encouragement, creating conditions for students with difficult circumstances to have the opportunity to pursue their dreams and change their lives.
Meanwhile, the Continued Kite scholarship is part of its mission to educate and develop the younger generation. This scholarship represents the spirit of dedication, hard work, and the attitude of constantly learning to achieve excellent achievements, encouraging the nation's younger generation to strive and develop themselves.
For more than 20 years since its establishment, AIG has continuously promoted responsible investment and community activities as its stated principles.
AIG Group wants to create a professional, friendly working environment, paying attention to the quality of life of its employees and their families, thereby generating the Asian House, where every AIG member can find support and trust at work and in their daily lives.
