The programme received more than 100 applicants nationwide, including students from the National Economics University, Hanoi Architectural University, University of Architecture Ho Chi Minh City, University of Technology, and Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the event, chairman of Gamuda Land Vietnam Angus Liew said that as a responsible developer, the company knows how a quality education remains a privilege for many. This is why Gamuda Land aims to empower talented, economically disadvantaged students.
"For the past 27 years, Gamuda Land has granted scholarships in Malaysia, but this is the first year the initiative has been extended in Vietnam. We want to make this an annual offering to continue providing a nurturing platform for future talent in Vietnam," Liew said. |
Nguyen Minh Nhut, deputy of the Social and Cultural Committee of the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City offered congratulations on the successful scheme, and shared that as one of the leading real estate developers from Malaysia, Gamuda Land has been moving forward on the path of sustainable development, improving infrastructure while contributing value to the community.
“We highly appreciate Gamuda Land's efforts to nurture young Vietnamese talent, promptly supporting and empowering them on their academic journey,” said Nhut.
The Gamuda Scholarship has been developed by Gamuda Group in Malaysia since 1996, giving wings to allow young Malaysian students to pursue their studies both nationally and globally.
As more than just financial aid, this scholarship programme provides a holistic platform for a brighter future, shaping the future generation by providing leadership training and job placements within Gamuda.
The Gamuda Scholarship is open to undergraduates in engineering, construction management, property and real estate management, architecture, environmental science and sustainability, biodiversity management, finance and accounting, business studies and business administration, and human resource management.
