The opening ceremony of the "Dutch colour" flower festival |
Aiming to celebrate 45 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Netherlands, Ecopark Group, Thien Dieu JSC, and Fruit and Vegetable Research Institute reconstructed the Netherland’s famous Keukenhof flower garden, which was named as the world’s most beautiful flower paradise, on 1,500 sq.m at the Ecopark’s spring flower garden.
Plenty of rare tulip varieties, including Christmas Dream, Strong Gold, Verandi, White Prince, Negrita Zeeland, Tom Pouce, and others, were directly imported from the Netherlands and grown at the northern mountains city of SaPa, whose climate and environment is most similar with Europe’s, to allow the flowers to grow the best.
Along with the beauty of tulip flowers, the flower festival was an occasion to explore the Dutch culture by participating in Dutch traditional games, visiting the cultural exhibition of famous wooden shoes (clogs) and the works of painters like Van Gogh, Johannes Vemeer, and Piet Mondrian.
