Under guidance from the Central Commission for Communication and Education and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, on November 23, the Press and Publishing Department under the Central Commission for Communication and Education and Dien Dan Doanh Nghiep (Vietnam Business Forum) newspaper hosted a ceremony to honour the writers of the best articles on businesses, entrepreneurs, and business environment issues.

According to Pham Ngoc Tuan, Editor-in-Chief of the Dien Dan Doanh Nghiep newspaper and head of the Organising Committee, since its debut five years ago, the programme has contributed to creating a new angle and providing the society with more in-depth coverage on the business community as well as entrepreneurs.

Since its debut five years ago, the programme has contributed to creating a new angle and providing the society with more in-depth coverage on the business community as well as entrepreneurs.

The programme represents a good opportunity to praise the most eminent entrepreneurs – the “soldiers” of the country’s economic front – as well as the best authors for their quality articles.

The programme also highlight the people who have left an indelible imprint on national renovation, construction, and development.

This year, the Organising Committee had received more than 460 entries from nearly 40 media organisations.

Accordingly, the A prize went to author Tuyet Anh (penname Khanh An, from VIR), for a series of articles centred on the business environment.

Two B prizes went to one author from Ho Chi Minh City’s Phap Luat newspaper and two authors from Nhip cau Dau tu newspaper.

Three C prizes went to author Anh Hoa from VIR, one author from Doanh nhan Sai Gon newspaper, and the author of an article featured in Doanh nhan Sai Gon newspaper.

Five Consolation prizes went to Hong Phuc from VIR, one author from Nhip cau Dau tu newspaper, one from Gia dinh Viet Nam newspaper, one from Doanh nhan Sai Gon newspaper, and one from Dien dan Doanh nghiep newspaper.

Earlier, in June 2018 at the awards ceremony of the 12th national media awards programme in Hanoi, VIR received two prizes: a B prize for a series of articles about Vietnam’s 30-year foreign direct investment attraction by author Le Thi Thanh Ha (penname Nguyen Duc) and one C prize to author Tran Thi Tuyet Anh (penname Bao Duy).

The series of articles about Vietnam’s 30-year FDI attraction also won the second prize at the national media programme to select the best articles on external relations information in 2017.

This was the second time author Thanh Ha won the B prize and author Tuyet Anh won the C prize at the national media awards programmes.

This was also the seventh consecutive year VIR was honoured at the national media awards programmes.
