This year, Renaissance Hotels across the Asia-Pacific region, excluding China, are gearing up for the 10th annual Global Day of Discovery with curated experiences that capture the unique spirit of each destination.

Renaissance Hotels will celebrate this past decade of building connections between its properties and local communities around the world on November 19. To honour this milestone, the brand is bringing back its signature 'Evenings at Renaissance' offering, this time reimagined as a lively 'evening market' designed to immerse guests in the sights, sounds, and flavours of each destination.

This new iteration aims to capture the essence of local culture, transforming hotel spaces into vibrant night markets where guests can sample regional street food, shop for handcrafted items, and enjoy live performances by local artists. Through this unique approach, Renaissance Hotels seeks to bring travellers closer to the pulse of each location, offering a culturally rich experience that goes beyond the traditional hotel stay.

John Toomey, chief sales and marketing officer for Renaissance in the Asia-Pacific region, excluding China, said, "We’re thrilled to introduce this special occasion. This new initiative lets guests connect with local communities and discover unique products from small businesses around the world, reinforcing our commitment to authentic, culturally rich experiences for those seeking more than just a place to stay."

In Ho Chi Minh City, for example, Renaissance Saigon has planned a memorable evening featuring a performance by electric violinist Vu Ngoc and crafted cocktails from a celebrated bartender. Guests can look forward to the hotel’s signature Punch Bowl and a series of Special Beverage Rituals, including locally inspired drinks such as the Sour Soup Cocktail and non-alcoholic options like Kumquat Plum Tea and Pandan Leaf, each made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

At Renaissance Hoi An, guests are invited to step back in time with the Cham Island Cocktail, a drink inspired by the thousand-year-old Cham wells of Vietnam’s central coast. This inventive cocktail combines history with local flavours, offering a sip of the region’s rich heritage. With every taste, guests can experience a blend of ancient influences and contemporary Vietnamese craftsmanship, a reflection of Hoi An’s enduring cultural legacy.

Adding to the appeal, Marriott Bonvoy members will have access to exclusive 'Marriott Bonvoy Moments' experiences, allowing them to bid points for special packages. Renaissance Saigon members can secure a memorable night in an Executive Studio room with views of the Saigon River, breakfast the following morning, and a hands-on Vietnamese coffee workshop at The Artisan. These packages provide an exclusive glimpse into the country’s vibrant coffee culture, with insights into traditional brewing techniques and tasting notes.
