The Taiwan Excellence Pop-up Store 2018, which was set up in Vietnam for the first time, allowed local customers to experience technological innovation from Taiwan and buy high-quality products from 17 top Taiwanese brands, spanning five categories. Fitted with smart technologies, these products provide consumers with a more convenient and comfortable life and are honoured with the Taiwan Excellence badge, an initiative of the Bureau of Foreign Trade under Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council.

The Taiwan Excellence Pop-up Store 2018 displayed an array of products from leading Taiwanese brands such as ASUS, ADATA, Aver, Transcend, Johnson, GreenE, Derma Angel, KYMCO, and Long Chen. By entering the store, customers were able to interact with brand representatives to garner an up-to-date overview of new trends in the pursuit of a “smart” life in the future. “Smart technology is becoming a new trend favoured by many customers due to the convenience it brings to life,” said Cheng Kai Jen, director of the Taiwan Trade Centre’s Ho Chi Minh City representative office. “Thanks to continuous efforts by Taiwanese businesses in developing products fitting the latest trends, Taiwan can today be proudly considered a power in the field of technological innovation.”
“We also take responsibility for introducing these products to consumers in Taiwan and in other markets including Vietnam, a high-potential market we would like to focus on,” Cheng added.
Among the most prominent products getting exposure at the Taiwan Excellence Pop-up Store 2018 are the LCW soda water dispenser LC-7872-2AB and the KYMCO Like 125 motorbike. The LCW soda water dispenser puts sparkling water, which is popular in the US and Europe, into home use, giving consumers a new option.
Instead of using a soda maker, it offers a way to get more sparkling water with a touch of a button. Using the LCW soda water dispenser, customers can adjust the density of the bubbles and add natural flavours like fresh lemon juice to turn water into a flavoured soda mix rather than a soft drink with chemical sweeteners.
Meanwhile, with a perfect combination of retro style, elegance, and luxury, the KYMCO Like 125 motorbike possesses amazing functions, such as a special anti-lock braking system (ABS) by Bosch, a leading global supplier of technology and services. Moreover, it is equipped with a Noodoe system. The technology is integrated in the KYMCO motorbike’s electronic clock screen and used with the help of an application on smartphones. The system informs drivers about time, driving speed, weather conditions, and directions through a compass, while also delivering notifications from social media as well as calls and messages.
