The ceremony featured the presence of Wayne Oedewaldt, senior vice president for Asia-Pacific and Julient Nargeot, vice president for Southeast Asia at Gulfstream, and executive representatives of Sun Group andSun Air.

Sun Air will support Gulfstream with market development in Vietnam and, at the same time, promote and introduce Gulfstream’s legendary jet lines to prospective customers.

By becoming the exclusive representative of the Gulfstream brand in Vietnam, Sun Air will act as the bridge for the world’s most famous jet airline to reach the Vietnamese elite.

Along with that, the first luxury airline in Vietnam also provides aircraft management and private jet charter services with Gulfstream’s intercontinental-range business jets, empowered by state-of-the-art technology and world-class cabin space.

“There is a growing interest in Gulfstream aircraft in Asia, and we look forward to continuing to grow in the Vietnamese market,” said Scott Neal, senior vice president for Worldwide Sales at Gulfstream.

“Sun Air is not only an important customer but also a bridge for us to expand our presence in this potential market.”

Private jets are already prevalent in developed countries with about 22,000 business jets in operation, especially in North America and Europe. Asia is deemed the third potential region in the world in this aviation segment, yet in Vietnam, this is still quite a new field.

The Vietnamese aviation industry is ready for the boom of the charter flight segment, in which Sun Air emerges as the pioneer airline.

“Becoming an international sales representative for Gulfstream in Vietnam marks an important milestone for Sun Air in the development of a high-end general aviation industry,” said Dang Minh Truong, chairman of Sun Group.

“I am confident that with Gulfstream’s leading reputation in the global aviation industry and Sun Group’s distinct ecosystem, we will create unprecedented luxury aviation experiences in Vietnam.”

In Truong’s words, Van Don International Airport, which was constructed by the group in Quang Ninh province, would be the perfect landing spot for Gulfstream’s ultra-luxury jets.

Gulfstream and Sun Air will team up to organise the Gulfstream Airshow exhibition at Van Don International Airport in the third quarter of 2022.

For the first time in Vietnam, the event will bring exposure to a series of luxury aircraft that have become standard in the aviation industry such as the G500, G600, G650ER, and especially the market-leading G700 jet.
