A female staff of electronics retail chain Dien May Xanh in Danang has just tested positive for COVID-19 after communicating with two infected British tourists.

In the afternoon of March 8, 2020, Danang's Department of Health confirmed that two British tourists staying at Vanda Hotel (Danang), who arrived to Vietnam by flight VN0054 from London to Hanoi on March 2, tested positive for COVID-19 and were taken to hospital.

Travelling in Danang, the two persons visited the Dien May Xanh shop at 7 Nguyen Van Linh Street, Hai Chau district. After the two men were announced to be infected by COVID-19, the retailer, a subsidiary of Mobile World Investment Corporation (code: MWG), checked their cameras and confirmed that the foreigners had visited the shop on March 4.

Three staff members of Dien May Xanh communicated with them from a distance of less than two metres and one of them has just tested positive for COVID-19, becoming the 35th infection case in Vietnam. As soon as the test results came out, the company disinfected the entire store and closed since March 11, 2020. All people having direct interaction with the patient (F1) have been checked and are now isolated at Danang Lung Disease Hospital. Other people have also been quarantined at their home.

In addition to Vanda hotel and Dien May Xanh, the two British tourists have reportedly visited numerous restaurants like El Gaucho, Ca Lua, Nuong Da Thanh, La Maison Deli, Pizza 4P's, The Coffee House (in Hai Chau district), and other places like Vinpearl Land Nam Hoi An (Quang Nam province) and Montgomeries Link Hotel & Villas (Quang Nam).

On the stock market, MWG shares have been decreasing sharply to VND87,000 ($3.78) apiece since the COVID-19 broke out in Vietnam.
