Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel launched a series of exciting culinary programmes on September 7, offering an array of experiences for gastronomes in Ho Chi Minh City.

The events include the 'Straight Outta Malaysia' offering at the Saigon Café, the 'Bat Am Thien Thu – Bat Khu Thuong Phai' menu at Li Bai restaurant, enhancing activities of the 'Gatherings by Sheraton' and a newly launched cocktail collection at Wine Bar on the 23rd floor.

From September 6 to 16, ‘Straight Outta Malaysia’ offers guests a vibrant culinary exploration of Malaysia. Diners can embark on a gastronomic journey with various traditional and creative dishes, crafted by the renowned guest chefs, Amin Ariff and Azhar Nordin from Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur.

Visitors to Saigon Café can indulge in an array of Malaysia's signature dishes that showcase a harmonious blend of cultural influences from Chinese, Indian, Arabian, and Indonesian cuisines. An array of curries is served with the characteristic Malaysian roti canai bread. At the grill station, a series of Satay skewers, originating from the Arabic culinary style, are presented in an eye-catching manner with the distinctive aroma of peanut sauce.

With the ‘Bat Am Thien Thu – Bat Khu Thuong Phai’ menu at Li Bai Restaurant, guests can discover the renowned diversity of Chinese cuisine. This experience highlights the eight major Chinese culinary traditions: Shandong, Guangdong, Sichuan, Hunan, Fujian, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, and Xi'an.

Explore the top eight traditions of Chinese cuisine with Bat Am Thien Thu – Bat Khu Thuong Phai at Li Bai restaurant

Shandong, the northeastern region with a rich heritage and home to China's great philosophers, is known for its bold flavours. Travelling down the coastal provinces of Zhejiang and Jiangsu, often referred to as earthly paradises with capitals Hangzhou and Suzhou, diners will be enchanted by the light and delicate flavours. Meanwhile, Fujian and the opulent ancient capital Xi'an, known for being the starting point of the Silk Road, feature bolder, more mountainous dishes. The southwestern regions of Sichuan and Hunan are renowned for their hot and spicy flavours.

The ‘Bat Am Thien Thu – Bat Khu Thuong Phai’ menu is available from September 9 to 30, throughout lunch and dinner.

As 'The World’s Gathering Place', Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel also introduces 'Gathering by Sheraton' to enhance the guest experience during their stay.

Every Monday morning, guests are invited to the hotel lobby between 7–9.00am to enjoy complimentary premium coffee. Using carefully selected coffee beans from well-known coffee-growing regions, each cup is brewed with passion for such an energy.

Only for the Mid-Autumn Festival, Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera hosts a series of mooncake-making classes

For the Mid-Autumn Festival this year, Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera introduces artistic tea ceremonies in collaboration with Tra Viet and offers mooncake-making classes led by the master chef of Li Bai restaurant, who oversees the hotel’s mooncake production.

"We are thrilled to introduce 'Gathering by Sheraton' to both our international and local guests. There will be various events held in public areas where the community can interact and connect. Perched on the 23rd floor, Wine Bar at Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel also unveils a seasonal cocktail collection inspired by Vietnam’s iconic landmarks as part of the event series. Each cocktail embodies a journey through the breathtaking beauty of Vietnam’s natural wonders, delivering refined and captivating flavours in every sip, drawing inspiration from the country’s rich landscapes.

The 'Halong Wonder' captures the serene blue of Halong Bay with a balanced mix of sweet and sour flavours, enhanced by the warm scent of gin. The 'Phu Quoc Sunset', reflecting the vibrant hues of dusk in Phu Quoc, combines bold black tea, citrusy orange, and refreshing rice flower for a sensory delight. After a busy day, the 'Phan Thiet Sand Hill', with its creamy coconut coffee and smooth blended ice, offers a cooling escape reminiscent of Phan Thiet’s white dunes.
