Join Market 39 of InterContinental Saigon and our Guest Chef Jaime 'Jimmy' Rojas from Hotel Indigo Bangkok this May to explore the colourful cuisines of Latin America.
|Savouring Latin America week at Intercontinental Saigon |
As a bubbling pot of cultures, South America and the Caribbean have brought to the table some of the most unique cuisines. Here we can find interesting iterations of many world’s famous cuisines like Peruvian chaufa, which takes its root from Chinese fried rice, and ceviche is a strong relation to Japanese sashimi or Italian carpaccio. All are ingenious combinations of classic recipes and native ingredients and spices.
Throughout the cuisines of Latin America, we find variety, alluring fragrance, flavourful bites with occasional spiciness. It is always a pleasant culinary experience.
Born in Mexico, our Guest Chef Jaime 'Jimmy' Rojas has 14 years of experience in 17 countries.
In addition to holding the position of Executive Chef three times, Chef Jimmy had the honour, and skill, to have worked in several two to three-starred Michelin restaurants, most noticeably as Chef de Cuisine in the two-Michelin ANNUA in Spain.
