Chefs at InterContinental Saigon have been working tirelessly for months behind the scenes to prepare new menus for Chinese restaurant Yu Chu and Italian eatery Basilico.

Situated on the first floor of InterContinental Saigon, Yu Chu has recently unveiled its 2024 menu, introducing a new all-you-can-eat dim sum offering and an a-la-carte menu. With these refinements, Yu Chu will continue to be the go-to destination for Chinese – Cantonese food lovers in the heart of Saigon.

For the main a-la-carte menu, chef Kim and his team have taken a novel approach to the history-rich Cantonese cuisine by utilising exquisite ingredients to create dishes like smoked Australian beef dumplings and braised Iberico pork.

Inheriting the same modern Chinese culinary philosophy, Yu Chu’s new all-you-can-eat menu offers more than 20 new dishes and various enhancements to existing recipes. Fans of this menu can enjoy exclusive creations both old and new, from the fresh shrimp rice rolls to the five-spice taro cakes, crispy cheese prawn balls, and Dandan noodles with iconic Szechuan spiciness and handmade noodles.

From the other side of the world, Basilico, located next to the lobby of InterContinental Residences Saigon, has been one of Saigon’s best Italian restaurants for more than a decade, known for its distinctive flavours, warm hospitality, and exciting menu updates.

Starting in early June, Basilico at InterContinental Saigon, often referred to as ‘a slice of Italy,’ presents a new menu that both honours authentic cuisine and displays a contemporary range of Italian dishes. One easily noticeable aspect of both the new and old menus at Basilico is the refreshing presentation of the dishes, from starters like squid carpaccio to main courses like risotto with roasted half bone marrow.

Going beyond mere visual improvements, our chefs have embraced authentic tastes by emphasising iconic Italian ingredients. Visiting Basilico for the new menu, guests can explore well-balanced choices of classics and new signatures like the smoked salmon pizza with crispy poppy seed crust or the lobster ravioli with tomato and dried chili cream sauce.
