Bennett Neo, general director of SABECO said, "Youth is one of our priority communities as they are the future generation of Vietnam." |
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Ngo Van Cuong, secretary of the Central Committee of the HCYU, a socio-political organisation of Vietnamese youth with 6.5 million members, said the programme will create a favourable mechanism focusing on supporting startups and activities associated with cleaning up the seaside, promoting indigenous products of Vietnam, and implementing sustainable development activities for young people.
“With the signing of the cooperation programme and the establishment of very specific contents, we hope that there will be meaningful programmes and activities in the near future, realising the strengths and potentials of both sides towards the common goal of a sustainable Vietnam,” he said
Bennett Neo, general director of SABECO said, “Our sustainable development strategy revolves around four pillars, namely the country, culture, consumption, and conservation. This strengthens our commitment to sustainable development for the prosperity of the country and people of Vietnam.”
In 2021, SABECO, with its Bia Saigon brand, has coordinated with HCYU to implement many meaningful activities, including the social movement Collecting a Million Stars – encouraging the community to share the spirit of Going Forward Together and supporting small household businesses in Ho Chi Minh City that were severely impacted by the pandemic.
In addition to these, the recent Tet One Home campaign donated 1,530 coach tickets, 270 air tickets, and 200 ship tickets to exemplary factory workers and Youth Unionists who volunteered for COVID-19 prevention. These activities have created a solid basis for SABECO and the HCYU to aim for an even more comprehensive cooperative relationship starting from 2022 through this 3-year partnership.
The 3-year cooperation from 2022 between SABECO and HCYU will focus on: ● National development activities, with a focus on promoting and supporting the development of young talents; accompanying the youth in business startups, starting careers, and livelihood supports; as well as training and improving the competitiveness of small- and medium-sized household businesses. ● Cultural preservation activities to encourage a healthy, positive living culture in the community, such as physical and sports activities and spiritual strengthening cultural activities. ● Activities that promote a civil lifestyle that helps raise awareness of healthy living and responsible drinking manners, especially among the youth. ● Sustainable development activities that promote sustainable development through activities that encourage the youth to protect the environment. |
