Quang Ninh offers free sightseeing tickets for athletes attending the SEA Games 31

More than 1,400 members of the organising committee, referees, athletes, and coaches attending the SEA Games 31 in Quang Ninh will be free to visit major tourist attractions in the province.

With more than 530 athletes, 410 referees, and 320 coaches and officials, the competitions will take place from May 6-22.

Nguyen Thanh Tung, deputy director of Quang Ninh Department of Culture and Sports, said that the province is organising a programme to give the delegations the best impression of Quang Ninh.

The SEA Games 31 is a regional sporting event and the largest ever taking place in Quang Ninh. It is a valuable opportunity for the province to introduce its natural beauty and tourism potential to the large number of international friends attending the SEA Games 31.

The province will arrange five 3-5 star hotels for members of the organising committee, referees, and national sports delegations participating in SEA Games 31.

Quang Ninh has been chosen to host seven sports at the 31st SEA Games including beach volleyball, beach handball, and triathlon at the Tuan Chau International Tourist Area in Halong city, women's football at Cam Pha City Stadium, Chinese chess at Legacy Yen Tu Resort in Uong Bi, indoor volleyball at Dai Yen Multi-Purpose Gymnasium, and chess at Quang Ninh Planning, Fair, and Exhibition Palace.
