PetroVietnam Ca Mau Fertiliser JSC (PVCFC) on August 4 was lauded for the second time among the 50 Best Listed Companies by Forbes Vietnam, along with securing eminent business results in the first half of this year.

The 50 Best Listed Companies in 2022 include the best players in diverse sectors that have secured eminent business achievements in their development history.

As impacts of the pandemic have gradually abated, the business landscape globally and in Vietnam began to exhibit increasingly bright prospects.

Disruptions of the supply chain brought a bonanza year for seaport and logistics firms. Temporary disturbances in the supply chain have led to escalating input material prices which, in another extent, are beneficial to certain groups of businesses, including PVCFC to cash in on the opportunities to harvest inspiring business results.

Leveraging the most rigorous assessment criteria and an objective and scientific select mode, Forbes Vietnam’s judging panel continued to assert PVCFC as a major brand with a solid background.

The company’s residence against challenges, flexible adaption to the situation, and a strong sense of innovation have enabled PVCFC to surmount numerous hardships and further secure stable development, helping to continually amplify the benefits to the farmers, customers, and investors, as well as constituting new values to the agriculture sector and the social community.

Forbes Vietnam’s 2022 tally also notes a strong transition in the manufacturing field requiring more brain and skills in the country’s economic structure.

Industry experts have attributed PVCFC’s continuous success to its emphasis on ensuring sustainability and prosperity in development, leveraging well-conceived orientations.

On August 4, Nguyen Thi Hien, PVCFC’s deputy general director, and one of three eminent representatives of the group proudly delivered a speech about outstanding product chain supply capacity at Forbes Vietnam’s awards ceremony.

PVCFC has made great strides to apply new technologies in product innovation to boost the production output and elevate Vietnamese agricultural produce’s values for the benefit of both farmers and consumers.

One of the company’s recent outstanding projects is its efforts to bring NPK Ca Mau Plant empowered by Spain technology into operation with an annual capacity reaching 300,000 tonnes per year.

To be honoured among the 50 Best Listed Companies in 2022, PVCFC satisfied all quantitative and qualitative criteria regarding the compound annual growth rate in revenue, profit, ROE, ROC, and EPS growth index in five consecutive years starting from 2016 of this global leading business magazine.

Impressive first-half business performance

PVCFC reached $51.85 billion in total revenue and $8.4 billion in post-tax profit in the first half of this year.

During the period, PVCFC had expedited and effectively accomplished all business targets.

Accordingly, the company’s urea fertiliser equivalent production output reached 474,350 tonnes, equal to 55 per cent of the full-year plan and up 4 per cent on-year.

Meanwhile, urea fertiliser consumption was estimated at 432,380 tonnes, equal to 56 per cent of the full-year plan and up 3 per cent on-year.

Generally, the company raked in $358.5 million in total revenue, reaching 91 per cent of its full-year plan and showing a 91 per cent jump on-year.

Its pretax profit amounted to $106.5 million, much surpassing the projection and the level one year ago. Budget contribution approximated $13 million, equal to 440 per cent of the 2022 plan.
