The master plan aims to build the tourist site in line with national tourism site standards. By 2025, Nui Coc Lake tourist site will become a large-scale eco-tourism hub. By 2030, the site would be able to serve socio-economic development in Thai Nguyen province and the Northern midland and mountainous region.
It also targets to build connectivity in space and infrastructure of the tourist site with the development orientations of Thai Nguyen province, Tam Dao National Park, and Hanoi Region.
The master plan focuses on preserving and upholding remaining advantages in geographical location and national resources; forest protection ecosystem; lake and island ecosystems, ecological system of Tan Cuong tea plantations in order to exploit tourism potentials in an effective and sustainable manner.
Under the master plan, the tourist site will cover Phuc Xuan, Phuc Triu and Tan Cuong communes in Thai Nguyen city; Tan Thai, Binh Thuan, Luc Ba, Van Tho, Quan Chu communes and Quan Chu town of Dai Tu district, Phuc Tan commune of Pho Yen town.
