LG continues to be an industry pace setter

LG’s products have quickly become a favourite of Vietnamese consumers

The certificate was handed over by GFK, one of world’s four largest market research firms. It was based on appraisals from eight major markets in the Asia-Pacific region including Vietnam, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, India and Australia.

Another market survey conducted by GFK in cooperation with North American market survey firms NPD and Stevenson Companies, also indicated LG’s sales figures for washing machines in 2010 were the best globally in terms of both volume and value.

That report also revealed LG-branded washing machines were Asia’s best sellers over five consecutive years. LG’s front-loading washing machines have also been the top-selling front loaders in the world for the past three years and the top sellers in US market for the last four years.

2010 was the third straight year LG headed the washing machine revenue table with a dominant stake in 50 countries.

Since its debut in October 2009, LG washing machines with groundbreaking, new generation Inverter Direct Drive technology and outstanding 6 Motion technology, enjoyed record sales 2.25 million units, including 1.25 front-loading and one million top-loading units.
