The fair features the best of Korean cuisine through the presence of dozens of Vietnam and Korean food companies to promote trade and cultural exchanges between the two countries in 2020, especially post-COVID-19.
Each year, the event is organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (on the Vietnamese side) in conjunction with the Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the Korean Embassy in Vietnam, and Korea Agro-Fisheries Trade Corporation (on the South Korean side).
Since its first edition in 2008, the fair has developed into a popular event in Vietnam among youngsters and Korean culture lovers. This year, the fair comes back to Vietnam in two key events on October 21-23 and November 6-8 with the participation of various food companies from the two countries. This is a chance for businesses to discover cooperation opportunities and tighten bilateral relations in a time of disruptions.

In particular, on October 21-23, an online export consultancy event will be held with the participation of 56 Korean companies in prominent fields such as fruit, ginseng, drinks, sauces, soy sauce, noodles, and seafood, as well as 150 Vietnamese food companies from Lotte Hanoi Hotel and Lotte Ho Chi Minh City Hotel. Moreover, 27 Korean companies and about 300 Vietnamese companies will attend a special session to introduce impressive Korean food gifts.
On November 6-8, the Hanoi Opera House will host culinary arts and activities of K-Food Fair 2020 Vietnam with 56 stalls. It will not only introduce visitors the most famous and popular dishes of both countries made by skilful chefs but also showcase South Korean culture with presentations on calligraphy art, sets of famous destinations to take photos, and Korean beauty technology.
A variety of famous artists will join the 2020 event including Bich Phuong, singer Erik, Duc Phuc, Min, Noo Phuoc Thinh, and Hanoi X-Girls.Visitors will have a chance to meet their favourite artists in person and win at the lucky draw.
