The competition is an opportunity for contestants to develop sustainable ideas, and the winning project will be actualised to create value for the community.
INSEE Prize 2024 promises to provide opportunities for contestants to learn from industry experts and strengthen their skills in sustainable construction. First place will be awarded VND30 million ($1,250) in cash and an implementation budget of VND200 million ($8,300) to build the project. The runner-up will bag VND15 million ($625) in cash, while three consolation prizes of VND10 million ($416) in cash will also be awarded.
At INSEE Prize 2023, the winner was the Mother's House project, a shelter for women with unexpected pregnancies, which received VND230 million ($9,700).
Launched in 2008, the INSEE Prize has become a prestigious and professional playground, attracting numerous students from across the nation to demonstrate their talent and creative passion, and at the same time propose practical solutions for sustainable construction. This year, the competition also calls for ideas to support people with limited mobility such as the elderly and people with disabilities.
For 15 years, the INSEE Prize has reached over 21,000 students and received 3,556 ideas. To date, INSEE has realised nine projects designed by winning groups through direct investment and the mobilisation of VND13.7 billion ($578,000), delivering real benefits to more than 5,100 people across the country.
