The annual awards are given out by consulting firm Anphabe in association with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Chambers of Commerce of Britain, Europe, Australia, and Canada, along with the Hong Kong Business Association in Vietnam.
Through the 20-year EVE programme, INSEE has supported Kien Giang College in their training and development of local human resources (HR), as well as providing many job opportunities for students after graduation. With a training period of three years, EVE combines theoretical and practical training, improving students' existing knowledge along with teaching new skills. Participants are mainly students aged 18 years and over who have graduated from high school and live in the Kien Luong district of Kien Giang province.
Since 2001, there have been more than 200 graduates, 93 per cent of whom still work at INSEE. Over 120 former students are working at the Hon Chong Factory, representing 75 per cent of the plant's technicians. About 15 per cent of INSEE graduates have been promoted to middle managers, demonstrating the commitment of the alumni.
At the ceremony, Vo Thi Thanh Truc, manager of HR and Training at INSEE Vietnam said, "We are proud to receive the 2023 HR Excellence Award as it recognises our commitment to training high-quality HR and meeting INSEE's highest standards. Moreover, it has also highlighted our contribution to improving the community, enhancing workers' skill sets and providing employment opportunities."
"This award is also a clear demonstration of our core motto at INSEE Vietnam, 'Seize the Opportunity.' We believe in building a prosperous and sustainable future for our employees, community, and society, and we are honoured to look back on our achievements. This recognition is motivation for us to continue our dedication and development," Truc added.
