Mid-Autumn Festival 2024 is just around the corner, and the mooncake market in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City has already started blooming with a vibrant and competitive playground of traditional mooncake makers, luxury hoteliers, and confectionery companies.

Traditional companies like Hanobaco, Huu Nghi Food, Hai Ha Confectionery, Kinh Do Bakery, and KIDO, among others, are eagerly setting up large booths along main city streets to exhibit mooncakes for sale.

Luxury hotels will also join the vibrant market with fruitful collections inspired by traditional legends of prosperity and luck, or East-meet-West creativities. If traditional mooncake makers focus on their tastes of past memories, hoteliers aim to delivery high-quality products with amazingly luxurious and elegant box decor motifs to customers.

Their products are not purely a gift but reflect the richness and vibrancy of traditional cultural heritage. Mooncakes now are not just a treat for the palate, but a celebration of the spirit of the Mid-Autumn Festival, fostering connections and creating cherished memories.

Hanoi Hotel was one of the first hotels in Vietnam to launch its very own mooncake collection, and its reputation has since been built through its meticulously crafted authentic mooncake of Hong Kong flavours. The hotel’s pastry artisans, under the expert guidance of Chinese executive mooncake chef Li Jian Chuan, have diligently worked to preserve the distinctive cultural essence of each mooncake, available in three sizes, ensuring the best taste is redefined each year.

The quintessence of Hong Kong cuisine is defined by the golden crust made from a secret recipe, perfectly baked to result in a thin and shiny golden crust. Each mooncake, when sliced, reveals the specially selected salted egg yolks, resembling the shape of a full moon. The balanced savoury and sweet flavours create an irresistible and enchanting taste experience.
