The constructions have a total investment value of about VND9 billion ($390,000) sourced from the Fund and individual sponsor Do Thi Kim Lien, chairwoman of Green Vietnam Fund.

As planned, the bridges have a minimum load of five tonnes and are located in underprivileged areas of the district, contributing to increasing transport linkages and convenience for locals. The construction is expected to be completed in six months, with some expecting to be completed in September or October.

Green Vietnam Fund hopes that local people will benefit much from the constructions which would help spur economic improvement and reduce poverty.

Green Vietnam Fund was established on June 8, 2016 under a decision of the Minister of International Affairs. This is a non-profit organisation focusing on programmes on construction and environmental protection, as well as supporting the sustainable management and use of natural resources.
