In mid-July, DEEP C Industrial Zones (IZs) announced that its Haiphong 3 complex was available for investors.
General sales and marketing director Koen Soenens revealed that DEEP C Haiphong 3 is a strategic industrial hub for the light industry, auto component manufacturing, port operations, and logistics.
“The close position to Lach Huyen deepwater port and VinFast’s automotive manufacturing complex makes DEEP C Haiphong 3 suitable for customers who need to import and export components, raw materials, and finished products on a large scale,” Soenens said.
DEEP C now boasts over 3,400 hectares across five industrial zones in Haiphong and Quang Ninh |
This unique position helps minimise transportation costs for supply chain optimisation.
DEEP C Haiphong 3 currently has 38 hectares of industrial land ready for handover, with electricity and water infrastructure scheduled for completion within 2024.
The current 520ha total land area encompasses 350ha of reserved zones as general industrial land, 19ha of port area, and 51ha designated area for Cat Hai town. The remaining space will cater to utilities, green spaces, and internal road networks.
Bruno Jaspaert, general director of DEEP C IZs, noted that the zone’s strategic location perfectly suits a variety of industries, from port operations and inland container deports to logistics services and the manufacturing of oversized and overweight cargos requiring direct port access. It will also cater to automotive parts manufacturing and the auto-supporting industries, among others.
Committed to investment attraction associated with sustainable development, DEEP C Haiphong 3 is a model of industrial symbiosis that promotes resource exchange and waste reduction at three levels: factory-to-factory, factory-to-IZ, and IZ-to-residential community.
The presence of Cat Hai town also represents a prime example of level 3 industrial symbiosis, promoting sustainability and contributing to creating a ready workforce for future production activities.
Haiphong 3 aims to secure three key ventures with a total value reaching $200 million by the end of 2024. In addition, DEEP C aims to become a reference point for IZ developers in Vietnam by building ecological IZs that promote sustainable economic growth.
With the orientation of developing the IZ in an ecological and sustainable direction, DEEP C IZs is aware of its corporate responsibility to the community and society. It strictly observes the operating principles of associating economic benefits with investors’ interests and responsibility to the community and society.
DEEP C is set to continue its strong investment attraction to Haiphong 3, successfully develop large-scale, modern IZ projects following a green model, and contribute to the sustainable socioeconomic development of Haiphong and other localities where DEEP C has been doing business.
Established in 1997, DEEP C now covers 3,400ha across five IZs in Haiphong and the nearby province of Quang Ninh.
