The repainted Dai Lanh lighthouse |
Dai Lanh Lighthouse is one of the five lighthouses that are over 100 years old, and is the closest to international waters among the 79 lighthouses in Vietnam. This is the first Vietnamese structure to see the light of day and since it has been repainted, it has become a popular place to check-in among the youth.
During past days, the album named “24 hours at Dai Lanh Lighthouse” was shared on social networks with the hashtag #BaoVeHaiDang.
Le Trong Thach, manager of Dai Lanh Lighthouse, said, “Repainting the lighthouse, which is a symbol of Phu Yen, helps protecting our national heritage and promores tourism to the province at the same time.”
Along with its scenic beauty, Dai Lanh lighthouse also helps ships set a course.
Dai Lanh is the first project in the AkzoNobel's “Protecting lighthouse” or #BaoVeHaiDang initiative to be implemented in the years ahead to renovate lighthouses across the country.
AkzoNobel is considering selecting one of the following lighthouses to be repainted in 2019:
