Since the COVID-19 pandemic, life protection has been one of the top priorities of Vietnamese consumers. There is a rising demand for life insurance products as people seek to “shield” themselves from all risks of life.

Launched by Dai-ichi Life Vietnam, An Tam Song Hanh is one of the most comprehensive universal insurance products providing full protection for customers against life risks. An Tam Song Hanh has made its mark on the market as an optimal solution for financial protection and investment.

Its unique features are the lifetime protection until the age of 100 and the choice for “Song Hanh” - Companion Protection, in which the customer is eligible to register for the “Song Hanh” Protection package to provide additional protection for his/her spouse or child without additional premium payment and health assessment. This is a demonstration of the Kaizen spirit (continuous improvement), guiding Dai-ichi Life Vietnam to put customers first while rolling out new, innovative products.

The insurance company aims to realise its mission of improving the quality of health for Vietnamese people “for a better life”.

In addition to its healthcare and protection products, since the fourth wave of the pandemic beginning April 2021, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam has rolled out many new healthcare services for customers. The company has formed a partnership with MyDoc (Singapore), Asia’s leading digital-based healthcare service supplier, to kick off the trial launch of Dai-ichi e-Health Consultation Service.

With the service, customers can easily connect with highly qualified doctors in just a few simple steps on their smartphones from anywhere. They do not need to visit medical clinics, thereby saving much time and examination costs.

Spreading the message of “Be healthy to love”, in July 2021, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam launched a virtual run tournament for the community named “Dai-ichi – Love Road 2021” with a view to encouraging customers to actively exercise and take care of their health. By November 17, 2021, the tournament’s first four Janpanese Godai-challenges including Earth Challenge, Water Challenge, Fire Challenge and Wind Challenge attracted 12,300 participants who ran a total of 1.75 million km and contributed VND3.2 billion ($139,130) to the community.

There is still the last challenge: Air Challenge (November 17 - December 22). Dai-ichi Life Vietnam hopes to build more loving and healthy lifestyles for Vietnamese people through this meaningful tournament.

Last September, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam cooperated with eDoctor to provide free remote health consultations for F0 COVID-19 patients. The programme helped the customers, financial consultants, and employees of Dai-ichi Life Vietnam receiving treatment at home. via Dai-ichi Life Vietnam’s official account on Zalo. Besides, as from October 1, 2021, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam has directly handled the hospital bill guarantee service and healthcare benefit settlement, aimed at speeding the claim procedures. Most of customers have been satisfied with the services, taking the insurer closer to its strategy of becoming Vietnam’s leading healthcare service provider.

The insurer also implements a voluntary financial support programme for customers and financial consultants who are unfortunately infected with COVID-19 with a total budget of more than VND77 billion ($3.34 million).

In addition, the company has been actively supporting the community with more than VND7.7 billion ($334,782), including VND3 billion donated to the national vaccine fund to combat COVID-19; and VND4.7 billion ($204,347) to support frontline workers, disadvantaged children, orphans, and people affected by COVID-19.

To help customers and the community to live safely with the COVID-19 pandemic, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam has launched a series of online health seminars titled “Living healthy with Dai-ichi” with the theme of “Post-COVID-19 healthcare”. The two seminars took place in October and attracted more than 42,000 attendees, providing useful knowledge as well as answering many questions, helping people feel more secure when adapting to life in the new normal.
