CFA Charterholdear Class 2019 |
In 2019, more than 60 investment professionals are qualified and awarded the CFA Charterholder in Vietnam. The new CFA Charterholders received this prestigious award from representatives of CFA Institute, in front of over 100 relatives and members of the CFA Institute in Vietnam.
According to Zouheir Tamim El Jarkass, CFA, board member at the CFA Institute Board of Governors: “When an investor sees the letters 'CFA' following your name on a fact sheet or on your business card, they can expect unparalleled investment expertise and professionalism. They know that you voluntarily chose to enhance your skills and that you adhere to the highest ethical standards and perhaps most importantly, that they can trust you to put their interests first.”
To become a CFA Charterholder, a candidate must pass all three levels of the exam (successful applicants say they usually spend more than 300 hours of study at each level); meet the requirements for four years of work experience in the financial investment industry; sign a commitment to abide by the CFA Institute's Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, and become a member of CFA Institute.
On the same day, the Finale of the 2019 CFA Institute Research Challenge took place with FPT Corporation (HSX: FPT) as this year’s subject company.
Among the 19 participating teams, two teams from Ho Chi Minh City including Foreign Trade University Ho Chi Minh City and RMIT University – South Saigon Campus, as well as two teams from Hanoi including Banking Academy and Foreign Trade University Hanoi won the finalist tickets to present their investment recommendations to the judging panel consisting of top industry experts from reputable investment funds and institutions.
At the Final Presentation in Ho Chi Minh City, Foreign Trade University, Ho Chi Minh Campus surpassed the remaining three competitors with a convincing presentation and confident answers to the challenging questions from the judging panel to become the national champion. This team will represent Vietnam in the finals of the Asia-Pacific region held in South Korea in March 2020.
